On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the matches of the fifth round of four groups of the Champions League ended. Four more clubs made it to the playoffs: Atlético de Madrid, Lazio, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona. But what are the chances for the other teams in groups E, F, G and H?

Group E

Atlético and Lazio won simultaneously and advanced. In the last round, these Madrid teams will decide among themselves who will take first place and who will be seeded in the draw. This means he will avoid meetings with Bayern and City. As for Feyenoord, they will definitely finish the group stage in third place and move on to the Europa League. Group F

In the most powerful group many things have finally become clear. Dortmund guaranteed access to the playoffs, because neither Milan nor Newcastle would reach it definitively. PSG also has excellent chances, which in the last round will face some not so motivated Germans. Newcastle and Milan will meet in the last round and will believe in Borussia. To get out of the group, the English need to win and hope that PSG loses points. The Italians are only satisfied with Borussia’s victory (and their own, of course).

If Newcastle and Milan draw in the last round, then Eddie Howe’s team will go to the Europa League; With the same performance in head-to-head matches, Newcastle will have the best goal difference throughout the group stage.

Group G

City and Leipzig secured their exit from the group three weeks ago. The only question was who would come out first. The current champions of the trophy managed to win, losing 0-2 at half-time. It is true that the main attention in this group will already be focused on another match: Porto will host Shakhtar. In case of a tie, the Portuguese will take second place, thanks to their advantage in direct confrontations. In the first match between these teams, Shakhtar lost 1:3.

On Wednesday the teams from groups A, B, C, D will play. The final round matches will be played on December 12 and 13.
