A State Department spokesperson responded to a media request that the administration did not request Bancroft’s participation in the CAR, citing the private nature of the company’s work.

According to tellerreport.com, citing an international security source, Bancroft PMC employees would be looking for land near the capital to deploy their technical resources, including surveillance drones. The Americans are working to create a well-equipped, trained and controlled Central African unit that will monitor and protect mining concessions in areas where armed groups operate.

According to the minister, she learned from the US embassy in Bangui that the United States had asked the UN for permission to station weapons and radio communications in the Central African Republic to carry out a certain number of operations within the framework of its activities. However, the leaders of the republic were not informed about these plans.
