Almost 500 jobs have been created in Kamchatka’s ship repair industry – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

The head of the region, Vladimir Solodov, said that 498 jobs have already been created in the industry.

“The floating dock has already been repaired, a major overhaul of the region’s only floating crane has been carried out, and two docks have been put into operation,” the governor said.

The first restoration work began in 2021. A total of four docks are to be launched. And according to its design capacity, the company must repair at least 60 medium and small tonnage vessels per year.

And by 2025, five small purse seiners should be built in Kamchatka as part of the state program to update the fishing fleet – “keel quotas.”
