Sheen, star of numerous films and the hit television comedy “Two and a Half Men,” was not seriously injured.
According to media reports, Electra Schrock, 47, attacked the actor in the prestigious Malibu area of California.
The lady barged into Shin’s house after he opened the door. She then tried to strangle the star by ripping his shirt. “The suspect was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, use of force and robbery,” an LAPD spokesperson said.
According to the LA Times, sheriff’s deputies arrived at Sheen’s Malibu home after a 911 call. Authorities have not revealed a possible motive for the attack.
Schrock will be charged in court. The woman reportedly lives in Malibu, on the same street as the actor. Earlier this year, she was arrested for vandalism against elderly people.
It’s worth remembering that Shin, 58, is not without sin. He previously admitted that he consumes psychoactive substances. The actor ended up in the police station more than once.
Most notably, he was accused of assaulting his girlfriend Brittany Ashland in 1996. Shin received a two-year suspended prison sentence. In 2009, he was arrested in Aspen after being accused of domestic violence. His wife at the time, Brooke Mueller, contacted police. He pleaded guilty to assault.
Sheen was once the highest-paid actor on American television, but he was fired from the hit CBS show Two and a Half Men in 2011 after making harsh remarks about the show’s co-creator Chuck Lorre.
