Alcudiamar, the concessionaire of the Alcúdia marina, has been rewarded for the twenty-seventh consecutive year for its commitment to the highest standards of water quality, safety, facilities and environmental conditions with the raising of the blue flag. A guarantee seal that joins the ‘Q’ for Tourism Quality, granted by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality to the different establishments that reach or exceed the quality levels set by this public body, thereby guaranteeing the regular improvement of its services. This last distinctive takes Alcudiamar for the thirteenth consecutive year.

Environmental sustainability was a key aspect within Alcudiamar’s philosophy, developing different investments that help preserve the marine environment. Among them, an innovative oxygenation and recirculation pilot system stands out, designed to improve the quality of water in the basin, as well as a fixed hydrocarbon station and a bilge collection system.

The raising of the blue flag and the ‘Q’ of Quality Tourism was attended by the mayor of Alcúdia, Fina Linares, accompanied by the president and CEO of Alcudiamar, Bartomeu Bestard, and the representative of the Port Authority in Alcúdia, Miquel thorny The councilors for Environment, Sports, Fiestas, Tourism and Youth, Francisco Rodríguez, Verónica Caro, Ángela Amer, Juan Mateu and Azahara Machado, and the president of the municipal company EMSA, Laura Serra, also joined. The socialist councilors Bárbara Rebassa and Joan Gaspar Vallori, and El PI, Domingo Bonnín, together with the captain of Alcudiamar, Juan Crespí, joined the event.
