The first Angara-A5 launch vehicle was sent for testing to the Vostochny cosmodrome – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Currently, the creation and testing of the functionality of the technical complex for rocket preparation has been completed at the cosmodrome.

As part of the first stage of the Amur space rocket complex in Vostochny, it is planned to use the Angara-A5 and Angara-A5M three-stage launch vehicles, the corporation clarified.

“Angara” is a family of Russian missiles, which includes projectiles from light to heavy class. The family uses environmentally friendly fuel components.

The first launches of the heavy Angara took place in December 2014 and 2020 from the Plesetsk cosmodrome. In November this year, the first deputy general director of Roscosmos, Andrei Elchaninov, expressed hope that the first launch of the Angara from Vostochny would take place in the first quarter of 2024.
