Pushkov called the Finnish minister’s statement “not entirely understandable”: Western countries have been participating in the “cold war” with the Russian Federation for almost two years, and in the most active way.

According to the senator, Washington and its allies have been preparing for this war, also called hybrid war, since 2014, when the first sanctions against Russia were introduced. Well, NATO’s expansion to the east began even earlier, Pushkov recalled on his Telegram channel.

He also noted that even at the height of the Cold War in the last century, Soviet gas did not stop flowing into Western Europe and no one blew up the pipelines.

Now we are talking about the “ice war.” And in Ukraine, the West also participates in the hottest ones, but pretends that it is not doing all this.
