Maya Khromykh had the honor of opening short programs for women. Student Eteri Tutberidze, after a series of injuries, is trying to return to the top, but so far she has not succeeded. The poor condition of the athlete is evidenced by the fact that she received a second level for the sequence of steps; For Khrustalny students this is practically a crime. Problems with rotations, which are also atypical in this group, were also noted by Tatyana Tarasova, commenting on the competition. No wonder the judges gave the skater 68.40 points (the technical team deducted one point for a timed roll).
Veronika Yametova demonstrated fire skating. The figure skater, who could not keep up with her, also this time flew into space: everything about her performance was wonderful: fast turns, a fast but emotional sequence of steps and, of course, magnificent jumps. The athlete performed a snipe, 3+3 lutz-rittberger and a flip.
“Masterpiece! What a temperament! Bomb!” -Tatyana Anatolyevna shouted delightedly and she was right, the referees did not skimp on her scores: 73.86 points.
Next on the ice was Adelia Petrosyan, who threatened to perform a triple Axel in the short program, but student Eteri Tutberidze took no chances. A stable snipe, a triple lutz and a cascade of triple flips and toe loops – that’s what the athlete achieved. She then began to play the hits of the great Michael Jackson, brilliantly and effectively. The judges were impressed: 79.06 points.

Student Tutberidze suddenly failed due to rotation
Ksenia Sinitsyna also delighted fans with an error-free performance. Smooth, airy skating to the rhythm of immortal classics is the trump card of Svetlana Panova’s student. The skater effortlessly performed a triple lutz and sheepskin coat, double axel and triple flip combination. It was impossible to find fault with the choreographic elements.
“Remember. This art is what she does. I missed this type of women’s single skating,” Tatyana Tarasova rejoiced.
Sinitsyna scored 75.21 points. This is a decent result.
Another figure skater who shows typically elegant skating is Daria Sadkova, the young star Eteri Tutberidze. However, at her debut at the Russian championship, emotions took over the athlete, that she succumbed to panic and made several serious mistakes. She did a triple flip, a 2.5-turn axel and touched the ice with her hand in a triple lutz in combination with a sheepskin coat. And then the inexplicable happened: Dasha interrupted the rotation, completely losing the element. Naturally, she was very upset: after the skate, Sadkova shook her head in confusion. Her coach wasn’t happy either:
“You’d better drop the Lutz,” the specialist said, meeting the student next to him. And in fact, the skater lost a lot of points due to a failed rotation. His score is 64.22 points.
Spectators at Anna Frolova’s Traktor Arena witnessed an emotional performance. The figure skater brilliantly performed a cascade of lutz and sheepskin coat in three turns, snipe and triple flip. The public greeted the athlete with shouts of “Well done!” 73.52 points: Anya’s result.
Muravyova made a mistake and gave Valieva a generous gift

Surprisingly, the curse of falling off the stepped path also affected Alina Gorbacheva. The figure skater performed excellent jumps: snipe, flip and lutz-toe loop in a cascade in three turns. She practiced every movement, trying to convey the magic of oriental motifs, but at the most crucial moment Alina could not keep her balance and fell on both hands. Of course, the judges punished her with a deduction, but surprisingly, Gorbacheva got fourth for her step sequence, while Muravyova only got third. As a result, Sofia Fedchenko’s student scored 72.09 points.
The competition on the second day in Chelyabinsk was closed by the incomparable Kamila Valieva, who once again proved unstoppable thanks to her impressive jumps (she did a snipe, a flip and a waterfall 3+3 lutz-toe loop) and spectacular pirouettes. . On the step track, student Eteri Tutberidze showed the whole range of emotions – the skating of real mature women. The audience reacted violently to Camila’s every step and then burst into loud applause. This is a clear victory with a score of 81.85 points.
