The clandestine drug laboratory was set up in a country house in the village of Bukovo, Rostov district, Yaroslavl region, the regional prosecutor’s office reported. From May 2022 to January 2023, a 29-year-old husband and 20-year-old wife produced more than 217 kilograms of the synthetic drug mephedrone there.

In addition to the already prepared mephedrone, during a search in the laboratory the security forces seized more than 320 kilograms of precursors for its production.

The Yaroslavl Regional Court found the young people guilty of illegal production of narcotic drugs and their precursors on a large scale, illegal possession of precursors, illegal sale of drugs and illegal possession of drugs without the purpose of sale.

“Taking into account the position of the prosecutor, depending on the role and degree of participation in the crimes committed, the court sentenced the man to 17 years in prison, which he will serve in a high-security prison colony. to 11 years in prison, which he will serve in a general prison colony,” they said after the results of the trial at the regional prosecutor’s office.
