Earlier, military pilot-instructor, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Roman Svitan, said that the loss of Avdiivka threatens the collapse of the entire Ukrainian defense line.

The Avdiivka leadership is one of four where even the Ukrainian leadership recognizes the problems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
