In Omsk, Avangard, angry about the dry defeat against Ak Bars, received one of the outsiders of the season, HC Sochi, and managed to relieve their souls. In the first half the “hawks” scored only one goal, but in the second half they already won 4-1, and in the last twenty minutes they brought the matter to defeat. Reed Boucher scored 5 (2+3) points and was the first to score 30 goals this KHL season, Damir Sharipzyanov had an assist, Spooner also scored a double, but today not only the leaders scored for Avangard. 8:3 – the “hawks” took first place in the East, and “Sochi” continued the series of failures, suffering the second crushing defeat in a row.

After the success in Omsk, Ak Bars left for Yekaterinburg and until the middle of the match everything was going well for the Kazan team. Timur Bilyalov still refused to give in and Alexander Radulov converted the majority at the beginning of the second period.

But then the automobilist showed willpower and changed the course of the meeting. Sergei Zborovsky opened Bilyalov in the 35th minute, joining the attack, and the outcome came 10 minutes before the final siren, when the Urals were in the majority. Sergei Shirokov completed Valk’s pass to the far post and scored for the second game in a row. This goal turned out to be the winning goal, in the remaining time Ak Bars could no longer overcome Vladimir Galkin.

“Siberia”, who achieved two wins in two games under the leadership of Sergei Krivokrasov, came to Tolyatti and opened the scoring thanks to the efforts of Artyom Mikheev, but that was where the positive for Novosibirsk ended tonight. Shumakov tied the score in the 56th second, scoring for the team where many years ago he had reached a qualitatively new level. Altybarmakyan scored in the middle of the game, punishing Sibir for a mistake in his own zone, and that was the result.

In the third period, Lada reinforced his lead and then calmly took the matter to victory. Shumakov finally scored a double, hitting the empty goal of the Novosibirsk team.

Neftekhimik, sunk in the abyss of defeats, found himself at home with Barys and managed to break the unpleasant streak. Mityakin opened the scoring already in the 22nd second, Dergachev scored the second goal midway through the period, and then the Astana team could not eliminate this disadvantage, although it fought until the end. We especially highlight the goal of Daniil Apalkov, who scored for the last time in the KHL back in the 2019/2020 season.

In Yaroslavl, Lokomotiv hosted Vityaz and for two periods of the match there was a very tenacious fight: the guests took the lead, the home team defended themselves and at the second break the score was 2-2. But in the final stretch the railwaymen took theirs. The decisive goal was a puck from Kayumov in the 43rd minute, in the end Polunin scored the majority and Kayumov sealed the result with a goal into an empty net.

The twin teams “Severstal” and “Torpedo” met in Cherepovets, and the Nizhny Novgorod team managed to rehabilitate itself from a vague home defeat against “Spartak”. In the first half the teams exchanged goals, then Ivan Kulbakov closed his goal and Artamonov and Yan scored twice midway through the second half with an interval of 79 seconds, ensuring Torpedo’s victory. By the way, for the second game in a row, the Nizhny Novgorod team took very few shots on goal (in Cherepovets only 12), but this time they were much more effective in converting them.

Dynamo and Traktor played an excellent match in Moscow. The goalless first half gave way to an exchange of goals in the second, but the teams saved the most interesting for the final twenty minutes. The blue and white team first took the lead, in response they immediately conceded and in the 54th minute Telegin scored the majority. But soon Gusev scored a double (also a majority) and the game went beyond regulation time.

The main thing was the duel between Dynamo forward Cedric Paquette and Traktor goalkeeper Sergei Mylnikov. In overtime, the Russian goalie made an incredible save on the Canadian, forcing him to clutch his head, and in the shootout Paquette still scored against Mylnikov, although he questioned the accuracy of the goal, insisting that he had knocked down the puck with his stick. The judges had to watch a video in which they reviewed the clean goal and Dynamo’s victory. The blue and white team was the first to reach 60 points this season and the Traktor coach made it clear at a press conference that he was very unhappy with the referee’s key decision.

The match between SKA and CSKA in St. Petersburg attracted the attention of the main card of the day, but there was no fight in the match. The champions played another disastrous match, conceding their own goals and once again surprising the leaders with their apathy and indifference. For SKA everything went very well, Ivan Fedotov scored six goals, Gritsyuk scored in the second game in a row, Dedunov scored the first goal of the season and Marat Khairullin became the hero, scoring 5 (1+4) points. 6:2 – SKA is already five points behind first place in the West, while CSKA is increasingly entrenched at the bottom of the eight conference cups and is in no hurry to get out of the crisis.
