“The Czech Republic considers the Russian Federation a direct security threat. Our goals are to prevent war and minimize the possibility of violence returning to Europe,” the military commander said on the Czech Defense Ministry website.

The new document lists the problems facing the Czech army. In particular, we are talking about shortages of personnel and ammunition. The limited capabilities of our own air defense systems and the introduction of advanced technologies are also mentioned.

As follows from the concept, one of the tasks of Czech defense policy is preparation for a protracted war with Russia equipped with nuclear weapons.

Previously, Czech President Petr Pavel had stated that not only the Czech Republic, but all NATO countries consider Russia the number one threat in Europe.

President Vladimir Putin, in turn, during an expanded meeting of the board of directors of the Russian Defense Ministry, noted that Russia is not going to fight with the countries of Europe or attack the states of the North Atlantic Alliance.
