A large fire on Mount Beshtau was extinguished in the Stavropol Territory – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

“The fire was extinguished on November 5 at 7:05 on Mount Beshtau,” the press service of the emergency department reported.

The grass caught fire on Monday afternoon in two spots at once: 800 and 1,000 square meters near the town of Lermontov. The Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that the mountain’s difficult terrain made firefighting efforts difficult.

As previously reported, the fire area in Beshtau quickly grew to 1.8 thousand square meters. 27 people and 7 teams participated in extinguishing the fire.
