In Chuvashia, the teacher of a children’s camp who tied a child to a radiator was convicted – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

It appears from the file that in the summer of 2021, the defendant worked as a teacher at a commercial training camp for children, including those with deviant behavior.

“He cruelly treated one of the camp’s minor inmates, tortured him, causing him physical and mental suffering, and also illegally deprived him of his liberty,” the department said.

One day, a teacher kept a boy tied for two days to a radiator, located in the hallway of a residential building, prohibiting other children from communicating with him. And after the victim left without permission, the man hit the boy. An adult acted together with another teenager from a rehabilitation center located in the same camp territory.

The indictment in the criminal case was approved by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.

The court sent the accused to a general regime colony for six years and deprived him of the right to carry out teaching, educational and training activities with minors. His accomplice was also convicted.

Previously, at the initiative of the Chuvashia prosecutor’s office, the center where the defendant worked was fined for unlicensed educational activities.
