I love my job, I’ll go there… For the New Year! This is approximately what the next vacation will be like for one in five Russians. Avito Works experts figured it out. Who asked 6,000 Russians: will they work on the New Year holidays? And the answers turned out like this:

20% will definitely work hard during the holidays.

28% are likely to work during the holidays.

20% will probably not work these days.

21% responded optimistically that the vacation will be a vacation for them.

However, most likely the matter is not limited to “one in five.” Vice-Rector of the Financial University of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexander Safonov believes that in reality more Russians will go to work. And he remembers that if you have to work on holidays, the employee has the right to compensation. Although not for everyone:

– Do not forget that some people work in organizations with a continuous cycle: energy, chemical, metallurgical companies, public transport, hospitals, mining. These workers do not receive compensation for work on these days, since these are shift schedules, and if a working day falls on a holiday, it is added to the vacation, says Alexander Safonov. – If a person who works as usual is assigned to work on holidays, in this case the payment should be double.
