According to him, during reconnaissance operations, Russian paratroopers managed to open the defense system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Artemovskoye and its approaches. As a result of the counterbattery combat, the fighters of the Airborne Forces destroyed the main support points of the enemy and fired their weapons.

“Assault planes attacked fortified positions and fortifications where militants were hiding,” the Defense Ministry reported, RIA Novosti.

It is noted that the enemy was demoralized, after which airborne assault groups on BMP-2 and BMD-2 began an assault on Artemovsky from several directions. UAV operators warned Russian fighters about identified Ukrainian Armed Forces firing points and mined roads.

“The discovered firearms were immediately destroyed by FPV drone crews and fire from armored groups,” the Defense Ministry said.

During the attack by the Russian Armed Forces, “the enemy fled, leaving behind wounded and dead, and some of the militants laid down their weapons and surrendered,” the agency representative added.
