They opened their stores on the site and filled them with non-existent digital products at inflated prices. Buyers were offered certificates for tourist trips, parachute jumps, guitar lessons and fitness courses. After this, the scammers completed the purchase of their own product, but did not transfer money for it. The company recorded the fact of purchase and transferred its own money to the “sellers”. And now all that was left was to collect them.

As the publication’s interlocutor added, about 50 people were involved in such plans. Nine have already been sentenced and five more have been charged.

The investigation of the case continues.

Wildberries previously said the company could suffer billions in losses due to an inspection of Elektrostal’s service center. According to his representatives, more than eight thousand warehouse employees cannot start working and, therefore, hundreds of thousands of goods cannot be sent to customers.
