As Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos meteorological center, reports on his Telegram channel, at 22:00 in Moscow, according to the city’s base meteorological station, VDNKh, 11 mm of precipitation fell, that is, 1.6 mm more than it was. That day in 1980. The heaviest rainfall in the capital region fell in the center of the metropolis, in Balchug and in Dolgoprudny, near Moscow. Between 11 and 12 mm of precipitation fell here. And the record holder for precipitation was Mozhaisk near Moscow: 14 mm of heavenly moisture fell there in one day, 4 mm more than the previous achievement in 1940.
