The rocket launched 25 spacecraft into orbit, including Ireland’s first research satellite, EIRSAT-1, as well as a reconnaissance satellite for the South Korean military, RIA Novosti reports.

It is noted that the South Korean device “will become the first military reconnaissance satellite of this country.” It is equipped with infrared and electro-optical sensors. By 2025, Seoul, with the help of SpaceX, plans to put four more similar devices into orbit.

South Korea launched its satellite a week and a half after Pyongyang announced the successful launch of its own military apparatus. The DPRK intends to launch several more satellites into orbit in the near future.
