Many people know Amiran Sardarov from his YouTube channel “Khach’s Diary”, which has an audience of more than 5.5 million subscribers. Amiran became one of the first bloggers in Russia and remembers well the times when no one took this profession seriously. We met the tanned Sardarov at the premiere of the comedy “Yolki 10”, where he played one of the main roles. Amiran also recently returned to Moscow from Los Angeles, where he moved to take up permanent residence last spring. Of course, we couldn’t help but ask the blogger why he returned to his homeland.
“It didn’t work. Probably, where you were born, it was useful there. You only begin to understand this banal phrase very well when you emigrate. You are a stranger there. The language is different, not the native one. People with a completely different mentality that you don’t understand nor do you feel. In Russia, even if Caucasians fight, you don’t like it, but they seem to belong to you. And there are strange people fighting there, it’s not clear why. A completely different mentality. Other problems, news feeds. It’s very lonely and the constant sun turns into hell,” Sardarov, 37, admitted to KP.RU.
In fact, Amiran, who was born in Moscow, also did well in Russia: several projects, a successful YouTube channel, popularity, friends and his own penthouse in the capital. But no one canceled his ambitions. Sardarov wanted to achieve success outside of his native country. In fact, the blogger already tried to move to the United States in 2020 and lived there for some time. In the United States, Amiran even married the granddaughter of the first president of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, Mariam Tillyaeva, but a year later the couple divorced.
“I rented a house, got married, got divorced, bought two cars and then sold them. There was some kind of life, of course, but I didn’t understand America. I definitely won’t live there. If you only come on vacation. And it’s great at home. The atmosphere is calm, but it is still difficult to understand what people need. I was away for a while and very quickly a lot of new guys showed up and felt the crowd, but I lost track a little bit. I’m trying to fit in again. I want to do a new project, a show,” Sardarov shared his plans with KP.RU.
