Aisen Nikolaev

On Thursday, November 30, unique images of the “breathtaking winter” of Yakut appeared on the Internet. It turned out that they were published by the hero of many of my publications – the head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev.

In general, I did not believe my eyes and, although at that time it was about midnight in Yakutsk, I called Aisen Sergeevich…

… – The images – well, a lot of snow, a lot of wind. I just wanted to ask: is this all really a real, real, natural shoot?

– This, Sasha, is a real and natural shooting!

Here in the Bulunsky district, in Tiksi, in Anabarsky ulus, along the coast of the Arctic Ocean there are now quite strong winds.

And these shootings seem to illustrate all this live.

– Did your neighbors send you this from there?

– Yes, everything appeared in the newspapers and on television.

– You made them public, now everyone is watching. What is the approximate speed of the wind?

– 20-30 meters per second.

– And – it seems, in essence, – this is the speed of the plane?

– No, what are you talking about? This is equivalent to about 100 kilometers per hour, the speed of a fast-moving car.

– And you exhibit them, these shots, so that everyone can see them, so that people do not think that in Moscow it is just a disaster, and it no longer exists! And so that life here, with such snowfalls, does not seem too bitter to us?

– Okay, yes.

I hear friends calling, acquaintances calling: here the wind, there the wind.

But its light breeze is -5 and our winds are 30 meters per second, but -20 – 30…

This is, of course, a completely different experience.

And, most importantly, with such temperatures, with such winds, we have no right to allow a situation where the supply of electricity and heat can be cut off for a long time, for example, due to an accident.

For us it is simply a matter of life and death.

Therefore, in my comment, I especially mentioned our utility and energy workers, who in such conditions must ensure the uninterrupted operation of all life support systems.

– And a wind of 100 kilometers per hour is also Russia. So let’s not get lost, it can be even worse. Let’s take the example of the brave Yakutians!

– Yes, I can say, when you somehow do not feel very comfortable in Moscow, remember that there is Tiksi, where there is such a wind at a temperature of minus 30 degrees.

– And take these photos yourself. Right, Aisen Sergeevich?

– Yeah!

– Thank you so much. For care.

– Health!
