The department’s commission found the operator guilty of setting and maintaining high monopoly prices for its services. The amount of the fine for the company will be determined during the administrative investigation.

During the commission meeting to examine the antitrust case, representatives of the telecom operator announced that they were going to reduce these unreasonable rate increases. The operator plans to do so before February 15, 2024, for which changes have already been made to the company’s relevant regulations.

Recall that in September, after investigating the reasons for the increase in mobile tariffs by several mobile operators, the FAS Russia opened an antimonopoly case against the operator. The company increased rates for communication services for more than 8.2 million subscribers by an average of 10.24% and did not provide the service with sufficient reasons for the increase.
