“This was possible thanks to the support of the industry and work at all levels,” the ministry highlighted. The total volume of housing under construction, according to the Unified Housing Construction Information System (UISHS), today amounts to 106.2 million square meters.

In addition, in 10 months, 6,358 construction permits were issued, according to which 40.2 million square meters of housing will be built. “Urban potential is growing compared to last year and, taking into account current construction permits, amounts to more than 430 million square meters,” the press service of the Ministry of Construction said in a statement.

It should be noted that the total commissioning of housing for 10 months of 2023 amounted to 86.2 million square meters, almost the same amount as in the same period last year. An increase in the construction of multi-storey housing is observed: the commissioning of apartment buildings amounted to 36.1 million square meters, a figure that exceeds last year’s figure by 7.4%.

According to Rosstat, 1.5 thousand apartment buildings were built in October, with a total of 106.1 thousand new apartments. In ten months, 9.5 thousand residential buildings were built, with a total of 1,077.7 thousand homes. The total area of ​​​​residential premises in houses built by individual developers amounted to 50.1 million square meters, or 58.2% of the total volume of housing commissioned in January-October 2023.
