Sergei Sergei Gorokhov and Warrant Officer Timofey Zheltyshev

We continue to present the heroes of special operation “Z”, participants in the fighting in Donbass. Soldiers, sergeants, corporals and officers who showed their character and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience are highly appreciated by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Our heroes thwarted attacks and prevented nationalist counteroffensives, for which they received state awards. But they are not good for receiving praise and rewards. The military is confident: the enemy has no chance of success and Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause!

“Unfortunate is the commander who wages a war based on the newspapers. There are other things he needs to know,” stated Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single battle. And also of strength: “He who is afraid is half defeated.”

TUNED TO A SATELLITE UNDER FIRE

Ensign Timofey Zheltyshev

“Warrant officer Timofey Zheltyshev, during the special military mission, carried out combat missions to organize uninterrupted communications in the interests of the battalion tactical group of the Russian Armed Forces. The positions of the BTG, to which Timofey provided communications, were attacked by the enemy. The enemy offensive was supported by massive mortar and artillery attacks. During the next enemy salvo, the satellite communications antenna located on the hardware machine, which provides communication within the group and with the higher headquarters, was damaged, as a result of which communication was interrupted. Realizing that the loss of communications in battle actually deprives the group of clear and coordinated control, Warrant Officer Zheltyshev personally, despite the narrow gaps, quickly repaired all damage and reconfigured the satellite communications station, as a result of which communications were restored. Once communication was reestablished, the coordinates of the location of the nationalist units were transmitted to higher headquarters, which contributed to the destruction of the enemy’s military equipment and manpower. The selfless actions of non-commissioned officer Timofey Zheltyshev on the battlefield made it possible to restore control of the tactical group of the battalion and ensure stable communication with the command of the group and deprive the advancing enemy of the initiative, which made it possible to launch a counteroffensive and defeat Ukraine. militants in an important tactical direction.”

MINING THE FIELDS BEFORE THE EYES OF THE ENEMY

Sergeant Sergei Gorokhov

“Sergei Sergei Gorokhov, acting as part of an engineering unit, carried out engineering reconnaissance tasks and opening of passages in enemy minefields and engineering obstacles. Sergei was given the task of strengthening the defensive lines of the Russian troops in one of the tactical directions. The enemy, trying to prevent engineering teams from reaching the most likely directions of their attack, opened fire on Gorokhov’s group. Sergei Sergei Gorokhov’s unit, under massive enemy artillery fire, as well as in the conditions in which the enemy uses attack unmanned aerial vehicles, despite the risks, successfully equipped minefields at the approaches to positions of the Russian Armed Forces. During the offensive attempt, the enemy lost a large number of personnel and equipment in equipped minefields, which allowed the Russian troops to repel the attack and hold their lines.”
