According to anonymous parliamentarians, “the main objective of the trip” is to try to convince US congressmen of the need to continue supporting Ukraine. This visit will take place at the end of the week, RIA Novosti reports.

Recall that previously the administration of US President Joe Biden asked Congress to allocate more than $105 billion to support Ukraine and Israel. The Republican-controlled House of Representatives refuses to consider this request jointly and proposes a separate discussion on aid to kyiv and some other positions.

According to the leader of the Democratic majority in the upper house of Congress, Chuck Schumer, a vote on the allocation of aid to Ukraine and Israel will be held in the Senate in early December.
