The Mi-8 helicopter took off from Khabarovsk airport at 12:20 local time. The flight lasted two hours.

“The opening of a direct flight from Khabarovsk International Airport to Amurzet in the Jewish Autonomous Region is an important and, one might say, historic event. Flights to this region are opening for the first time in recent decades. “This Flight program performs an important social function, ensuring transport accessibility of the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. Khabarovsk Airport is the only airport in the Far East from where you can fly to any entity of the Far Eastern Federal District,” Yuri Kondratchik, general director of Khabarovsk International Airport JSC, told RG.

Flights along the route will be operated by United Far Eastern Airlines Aurora along with its partner operator Taiga Airlines. The flight was subsidized from the federal budget. Departures are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
