Russian television legend Yuri Nikolaev is preparing to celebrate his 75th birthday in December. The day before, Yuri Alexandrovich met with journalists.

Yuri Nikolaev answered the question of KR.RU about which of his friends, patriotic artists, performs before the military and spoke about his patriotic position: – I am a patriot. And since the late 80s I have been friends with the group “Lube” and Nikolai Rastorguev, who even before the SVO built their repertoire as patriotic (with the exception of a few songs at the beginning) and continue now. I called recently: “When are you coming to the shoot?” – and he answers: “I can’t, on the way.” I say: “Say hi to the guys and I hope they get better soon” (I mean performing in hospitals)… I don’t understand the behavior of some people now. For example, I live in the center and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday I observe the vibrant nightlife next to the late-night bars: fireworks are launched, the light of projectors; Fortunately, the sounds of music and fun do not reach the street from there, but there were boats with discos. There is a special military operation, our guys are there… And then there are fireworks and happy music; Honestly, I don’t understand it. Maybe I’m too categorical…

Popular artist Yuri Nikolaev himself refused a grand banquet for his 75th birthday: he will gather a small family circle for a “quiet dinner” in a restaurant. And on the morning of December 16, Yuri Alexandrovich will attend the live broadcast of the “Good Morning” program on Channel One and a special episode was filmed on the occasion of the anniversary of the “Tonight” program. By the way, five years ago, on the occasion of his anniversary, the People’s Artist organized a big concert at which the main pop stars sang.

Nikolaev said that he felt great (he was cheerful and energetic) and that he had plans to revive on television a program that he once invented and successfully launched: “Morning Star.” The television musical competition “Morning Star” was broadcast on television from 1991 to 2003: such young (then) artists performed there for the first time: Pelageya, Valeria, Yulia Nachalova, Sergei Lazarev, Angelika Varum and many others. Yuri Nikolaev told us: “The idea of ​​​​returning “Morning Star” to the screens is being worked out, although it is not Channel One, but, for example, “Carousel” or some other. “I am very happy that now all channels have programs for children and with the participation of children.”

At a creative meeting at the Rossiya Segodnya International Musical Center, Yuri Nikolaev also spoke about artists who fled abroad; These questions were asked more than once, and here the position of the television master is clear. People’s artist Yuri Nikolaev believes: “Whoever left is against us. This means that they have no way to return to Russia to earn money: television, radio and concert halls should be closed to them. If you left, it means you are closer to there, so work there.” Nikolaev believes that artists who, after the start of the SVO, moved abroad, but come to work with us, this is especially true before the New Year: they should not be given the opportunity to appear on television, act in films and earn money. – That they do it in their new place of residence.
