Sabah: Turkish intelligence services rescued the hacker who hacked the Iron Dome – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

According to journalists, Palestinian Omar managed to temporarily eliminate the Israeli Iron Dome system in 2015-2016, and in 2020 he attracted the attention of Mossad in Turkey. Israeli agents attempted to establish contact with him, supposedly as part of his employment, but Turkish intelligence services warned the hacker of the danger and dissuaded him from leaving the country.

In 2022, Sabah writes, Mossad agents were still able to kidnap Omar during his trip to Malaysia and interrogated him for a long time, discovering the circumstances of the Iron Dome hack.

After this, the Turkish secret services had to intervene and raid the room where the interrogation was taking place. According to the publication, 11 people were eventually arrested and the hacker was returned to Turkey, where he lives under surveillance.

Recall that previously the Israeli authorities refused to transfer the Iron Dome air defense system to kyiv. According to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel will not transfer the Iron Dome air defense system to Ukraine for fear that Iran will obtain it. “It’s important to understand that we are concerned about the possibility that if we transferred the systems to Ukraine, they could end up in the hands of Iran,” he said.
