Ratings of artists Russians are proud of in 2023 and those they are ashamed of have been published – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Additionally, attitudes towards artists, their actions and creativity were explored.

At the same time, opinions about which musicians can be called patriots of Russia and which musicians evoke a feeling of pride practically coincided.

Our citizens usually call Yaroslav Dronov, also known as SHAMAN (28 percent of the votes) and Oleg Gazmanov, 22 percent, patriots. Among the leaders are also “Lube” soloist Nikolai Rastorguev, Yulia Chicherina, Grigory Leps and Alexander Marshall.

Here in the ranking of musicians we are proud of are the same leaders. Respondents put SHAMAN in first place and Oleg Gazmanov in second place (he has second place). The top five also included those who were leaders in the previous one: Nikolai Rastorguev and Yulia Chicherina.

Sociologists also asked who is it that is now embarrassing citizens.

The first place went to Alla Pugacheva: she received it from 25 percent of those surveyed. Andrei Makarevich was mentioned a little less often – 18 percent of citizens mentioned him. And another 13 percent were ashamed of Philip Kirkorov…

Also in the top 10 of such an unenviable list were Morgenstern*, Maxim Galkin*, Olga Buzova, the blogger and singer Instasamka, as well as Boris Grebenshchikov*.
