The investigation into the Raisi helicopter crash case is over. What happened was an accident, it was confirmed. Two causes of the accident have been identified. One is that the weather conditions were unfavorable and the helicopter was unable to handle the weight. This caused it to crash into a mountain.

According to Reuters, the investigation revealed that the helicopter was carrying two more people than its capacity, ignoring safety protocols.

Earlier, the country’s army had submitted a preliminary investigation report on May 23, stating that there was no evidence of interference or attacks by any party. This information is also reaffirmed in the final report.

It should be noted that Raisi went to the border area of ​​Azerbaijan to inaugurate a dam on May 19. On the way back from there, the helicopter carrying the president crashed near Zolfa area in East Azerbaijan. Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian was killed in that accident along with President Raoisi.
