Considering it is a biography based on the true story of Rickey Hill’s baseball journey, it is highly unlikely that the film will have a second part, as the story has already been covered. Unless producers come up with a different plotline to tell more of his story, a second installment doesn’t seem likely.

The biography is complete in itself and documents the journey of Rickey Hill whose degenerative spinal disease causes his pastor father to prevent him from playing baseball. He has to eventually battle his family’s concerns to become a legendary baseball player. The main focus of his life story is already covered so unless there can be a spinoff, The Hill 2 will not be released.
