An Mi-28 military helicopter has crashed in Russian territory, killing all its crew. This information was reported by AFP on Thursday with reference to the Russian media Tas.
The helicopter crashed in the Kaluga region, southwest of Moscow, on Thursday.
“An Mi-28 has crashed in the Kaluga region…the crew has died,” a Defense Ministry source said.
The Ministry of Defense later told Interfax news media that the accident was most likely caused by a technical fault. However, the ministry did not say how many crew members were in the helicopter.
The Mi-28 is a Soviet-era helicopter. In 1982, this model of helicopter flew for the first time.
Basically, this two-seater helicopter does not have the ability to carry goods – it is mainly used in war or attack.
