The incident occurred on Monday morning. “A 44-year-old woman from Boston was attacked by a shark three-quarters of a mile from the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort in Cable Beach,” RIA Novosti publication quotes.

It is clarified that the American was rowing with a family member when she was attacked by a shark. The woman suffered serious injuries to the right side of her body, hip and arm. On the ground, doctors performed CPR on her but were forced to declare her dead.

The publication recalls that at the end of November, during an underwater excursion to the shark habitat off the island of Grand Bahama, a 47-year-old German citizen was attacked by sharks and disappeared. The search for her still continues.
