An aircraft that had been missing since yesterday was found this Monday (18), in the municipality of Doutor Ulysses, in the metropolitan region of Curitiba. Two crew members died, according to the Fire Department.

The disappearance was reported on Sunday night (17). Firefighters were called after the single-engine plane did not reach its destination.

A resident of the region reported that he had seen an aircraft flying low, followed by a loud noise. The 2nd Fire Brigade of Ponta Grossa began the search on Sunday.

The single-engine vehicle was located in a bank area, with the help of a resident. According to firefighters, there were no signs of an explosion.

The two crew members were found dead. So far, only one of them has been identified, he is a 69-year-old man.

The bodies of the victims must be sent to the Legal Medical Institute.

The FAB (Brazilian Air Force) reported that the Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (Cenipa) was called and will investigate the case. “The conclusion of the investigations will take as short a time as possible, always depending on the complexity of each occurrence and, also, the need to discover possible contributing factors”, says an excerpt from a note sent to the report.
