Minister Dias Toffoli, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), ordered, this Tuesday (19), the suspension of the administrative proceeding against judge Eduardo Fernando Appio, who worked on the Lava Jato operation.
In addition to the annulment, the minister also determined the nullity of the decision of the Federal Court of the 4th Region (TRF4), where the case was being processed, which made Appio a suspect.
According to Toffoli, the suspicion was a decision “illegally made by the TRF of the 4th Region”. In the decision, the minister also instructed the National Inspector of Justice “to adopt measures under its Constitutional and legal competence”.
