SÃO PAULO, SP (UOL/FOLHAPRESS)

Two adults and two children were found dead by police inside a residence in the city of Romeoville, Illinois (USA), on Sunday (17).

The victims were found dead by Illinois police officers. They were shot, as were the three dogs that lived in the residence, which also died, according to CBS News.

Romeoville Police Deputy Chief Chris Burne said officers found the victims shortly before 8:45 p.m. while conducting a “welfare check” in the 500 block of Concord Avenue.

Police were called to the home after a family member failed to show up for work on Sunday morning, and did not respond to phone calls throughout the day. Emergency medical services also responded to the scene.

Agents identified two of the victims as Roberto Rolon and Zoraida Bartolomei. Burne said the children are related to the two adults, but police have not released their names.

Investigators believe the shooting occurred inside the residence, between 9pm on Saturday and 5am on Sunday. Police said they were looking for the shooter, who was not among the victims, but did not release details about the suspect.

Witnesses said that technicians entered and left the house today, taking photos and carrying several bags, which were removed from the property. A TV screen, as well as part of a window, were also removed from the residence.
