Brasília, 26 – The PSD bench in the Chamber issued an ultimatum to the Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, responsible for the government’s coordination with Congress, to demand the handover of command of the National Health Foundation (Funasa) to the party. The bench also threatened the Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade, alleging that she was slow in releasing resources for Rio.

The episode took place at the launch of the National Strategy for Connected Schools, at Palácio do Planalto. After the event, the minister was stopped by the party bench to discuss negotiations. Among the parliamentarians were the PSD leader in the Chamber, Antonio Brito (BA), and deputies Pedro Paulo (RJ) and Laura Carneiro (RJ). In an audio recorded by CBN radio, deputy Laura Carneiro says: “If we dance, the minister will dance too.” At the end of the conversation, Padilha said that the situation was a “baculejo” – slang for police approaches on the streets.
