The election to choose the members of the Federal District Guardianship Council for the 2024/2027 four-year period is approaching. On October 1st, 220 full guardianship councilors and 440 substitutes will be elected.

The selection process is conducted by the Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (CDCA), linked to the Secretariat of Justice and Citizenship of the Federal District (Sejus-DF). How to check your polling place

The first step is to access the link to the polling place inquiry form and enter the voter ID number. After this process, the place where the voter must go on October 1st will be available, carrying a photo ID or e-title.

The voter can only vote in the city where the title is registered and for a candidate from that administrative region.

The complete list of candidates running for the position of guardianship counselor can be seen at this link. Simply mark the administrative region of interest and all the candidates’ photos will appear, with their respective numbers.

Phases of the selection process

The selection process is divided into four phases. The first stage took place on June 18th, with the application of the objective test to candidates. The final result of the second phase was announced on July 28th. This stage was eliminatory in nature and included documentation analysis.

The third phase is the election of candidates, which will take place on October 1st. The fourth and final stage will be the initial training course for those elected, with a date to be announced later.
