The Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) arrested a 21-year-old young man for the crime of illegal possession of a firearm, after an investigation that revealed contradictory information about an incident involving a gunshot wound.

According to the Chief Delegate, Dr. Thiago Peralva, the police action began on the 7th, when the team received information about an individual who had been admitted to the Gama Regional Hospital (HRC), with a puncture wound from a firearm projectile. fire in the leg. Initially, the victim claimed to have been hit by a “stray bullet” after leaving a distributor in Sol Nascente.

However, after detailed due diligence and investigation, the civil police began to suspect the version presented by the injured man. Intelligence information indicated that the victim, in fact, had a 38-caliber revolver in his home and, possibly, had accidentally injured himself while handling the weapon.

As a result of these discoveries, the police carried out a search of the suspect’s residence, where they seized the revolver, accompanied by a detonated ammunition, and other ammunition. Based on the evidence, the man was arrested for the crime of illegal possession of a firearm.

Furthermore, the person being investigated may be held liable for the crime of falsely reporting a crime, given that his initial version of the incident proved to be inconsistent with the facts established by the police.
