The Ministry of Finance published a Normative Ordinance, published in an extra edition of the Official Diary of the Union this Thursday, 21st, which defines the limit and operationalization of the new phase of the Desenrola program, for debt renegotiation. This stage is aimed at consumers with debts of up to R$5,000.

According to the Ordinance, in the first 40 calendar days of the deadline for renegotiation by Desenrola Brasil debtors at this stage, only those debts that, individually, after updating the debt balance contract by the creditor in the qualification phase, does not exceed the value of R$5,000.

After this phase, if there are remaining resources to guarantee the FGO, renegotiation with the FGO guarantee will be offered to those who have debts of up to R$20 thousand.

As reported by the Estadão/Broadcast This Wednesday, this second phase of the program will be able to serve up to 32.5 million negative people, half of whom are registered in the Single Registry and are part of the government’s social actions. This stage of Desenrola will begin next week.
