SÃO PAULO, SP (UOL/FOLHAPRESS)

A 29-year-old woman who went to the police station to say she was the victim of threats ended up being arrested on suspicion of sending pornographic photos of her eight-year-old daughter to a pedophile ring in Goiás.

WHAT HAPPENED

The woman went to the police station in Águas Lindas de Goiás to report an alleged loan shark on Thursday (21). She said she saw an ad for the man on social media, approached him to take out a loan, but was coerced into sending intimate photos of herself and her 8-year-old daughter to the man.

The police were suspicious of the version and asked for access to the woman’s cell phone. Upon seeing the conversations, according to the police, they realized that she tried to sell photos of her daughter without clothes.

“This alleged loan shark offered her R$3,000 so that she could send photos of the girl in certain sexual positions previously determined by him. This lasted for three days. When she realized that she would not receive (the money), she went to the police station in an attempt to register the incident as a victim, but we realized that she was, in fact, the perpetrator of the crime”, says delegate Tamires Teixeira, from the Goiás Civil Police.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of selling child pornography. Her identity was not disclosed to protect her daughter’s identity.

The police say they will now try to identify and arrest those suspected of participating in the pedophile network.
