This Sunday morning (17), the police forces of the Federal District Military Police (PMDF), specifically the Road Policing Battalion (BPRv), carried out a decisive action that resulted in the arrest of a man for theft, in addition to the recovery of his cell phone stolen.
The incident occurred in the city of Santa Maria, when a PMDF team was on patrol in QR 307 and was approached by the victim, who reported having had his cell phone stolen by an individual on a blue bicycle.
Based on the information provided by the victim, the BPRv team immediately began searching for the suspect in the region. Shortly afterwards, the suspect was located and approached by the police team. Confronted by the police, the suspect confessed to stealing the cell phone. The phone was promptly recovered and the suspect was taken to the 20th Police Station.
At the police station, authorities verified that the bicycle used by the suspect was the product of robbery or theft, adding seriousness to the accusations. As a result, the man was charged with theft and receiving stolen goods, crimes that will be duly investigated by the competent authorities.
