President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva participates this Sunday night (17), in New York, in a meeting with businesspeople and a dinner hosted by the president of the Federation of Industries of São Paulo (Fiesp), Josué Gomes.
Lula arrived in the United States this Saturday (16) after signing several cooperation agreements with the Cuban government, in Havana.
On Tuesday (19), the president will participate in the opening of the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN). Lula’s agenda will also include meetings with leaders of international entities and bilateral meetings with heads of state.
On Wednesday (20), Lula will be received by the President of the United States, Joe Biden. The leaders will launch a global initiative to promote decent work.
It is the eighth time that the Brazilian president will open the UN assembly. Brazil’s delegation is made up of 12 ministers. Seven ministers will participate in events directly linked to the assembly. The others are not part of the delegation, but are in the city carrying out official agendas.
