Without a fixed contract with Globo since September 2022, actress Juliana Paiva is back at the broadcaster. She accepted an invitation from author Daniel Ortiz and will be in the cast of “A Vovó Sumiu”, the next soap opera, which premieres in 2024.

The information was published by the newspaper O Globo and confirmed by the report. In the plot, she will play one of the granddaughters of the grandmother who gives the plot its name, played by Arlete Salles. Also expected to be part of the cast is actress Nathália Dill, away from Globo soap operas since 2019, when she made “A Dona do Pedaço”.

Juliana Paiva left Globo in 2022 following the end of fixed contracts that the broadcaster did not renew. Like other actors and actresses, she now has a contract for certain work and only gets paid when a work is being recorded.

“Our relationship continues and there are even possible future projects at the house, but now I will be able to expand my art to other places too, as it is no longer exclusive to the broadcaster”, wrote the artist at the time.

At Globo, Juliana worked on important soap operas such as the remake of “Ti Ti Ti” (2010), Malhação: Intensa como a Vida” (2012-2013), ” Além do Horizonte” (2013) and “Totalmente Demais” (2015). His last novel was “Salve-se Quem Puder” (2020-2021), written by Daniel Ortiz, author of his next work.

“Grandma Vanished” tells the story of a lady who disappears during a cruise without leaving a trace in the middle of a feuding family. Because of the problem, her five grandchildren have to band together to find her. Production tests are underway and the cast will be chosen by November.
