AMC Networks International Latin America, one of the main players in the entertainment market in the region, announced a significant change in its leadership. John Huff, who currently serves as the division’s chief financial officer (CFO), has been named General Manager, consolidating senior roles into a newly expanded strategic position.

John Huff’s appointment is a reflection of his impressive track record at the company over the past seven years. As CFO, he played a key role in driving AMCNI Latin America’s business, contributing to the success of the company’s linear channels, including AMC, El Gourmet, Film&Arts, Europa Europa and Más Chic, which are widely distributed in Latin America and the US Hispanic market.

In this new role, Huff will not only maintain his current financial responsibilities, but will also oversee all commercial, content and promotional activities for these channels, as well as the gaming business unit, Strib. This represents an important step in AMCNI Latin America’s expansion strategy, focusing on the Latin American region and the Hispanic market.

John Huff brings a wealth of prior experience in finance and management, having overseen the regional finance departments of companies such as Anixter and John Crane, as well as working at renowned organizations such as American Express, Citrix and Citigroup. His education includes a degree from the University of San Francisco de Quito, in Ecuador, where he obtained a degree in Finance and Administration, in addition to holding a prestigious Six Sigma Black Belt awarded by BMGI.

With this leadership change, AMC Networks International Latin America is poised to consolidate its position as a leading provider of high-quality entertainment programming in Spanish and Portuguese, serving markets in Latin America, the Caribbean and other territories. The channel portfolio, which includes AMC, Film&Arts, El Gourmet, Más Chic, Europa Europa, Strib and now AMC Selekt 4k, will continue to deliver engaging and varied content to viewers across the region.
