American television and film writers agreed this Tuesday (26) to end a strike that lasted almost five months and paralyzed Hollywood, after reaching a salary agreement with production studios, announced the Screenwriters Guild of the United States ( WGA).
“The WGA has reached a preliminary agreement with AMPTP,” the union announced in a statement on Network X, formerly Twitter, referring to the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, adding that “the strike ends at 12:01 am.”
