Although Guarani is focused on the final stretch of Series B of the Brazilian Championship, in which they are fighting for access, the board is already working to maintain two highlights for next season. The Campinas club opened negotiations to permanently sign midfielder Bruninho and striker Bruno José.

Bruninho, on loan from Atlético-MG, is having a great season and has already played in 38 games this season, scoring ten goals, three in Paulistão and seven in Série B. Two of them were in the last game, in which Guarani beat Tombense by 3 to 0, at home. It was the first time that the 23-year-old player scored more than one goal in the same game for the São Paulo team.

Talks with Atlético-MG, however, are at an early stage. The Minas Gerais club wants around R$2.5 million to sell 50% of Bruninho’s economic rights. Guarani asked for an installment payment for 2024, but Atlético wants to receive the amount in cash.

In the case of Bruno José, Guarani will need to talk to Cruzeiro, the club that loaned him until the end of this season. The values, however, are kept confidential. The 25-year-old has already played 34 games this season, scoring five goals, as well as eight assists.

The São Paulo team has won three consecutive victories and Bruno José participated directly in them. He scored the goal in the derby with Ponte Preta and contributed assists against Chapecoense and Tombense.

After beating Tombense, Guarani reached 50 points, in second place, behind only Vitória, with 52. The São Paulo team returns to the field on Saturday, at 5 pm, when they visit CRB, at the Rei Pelé stadium, in Maceió ( AL), for the 29th round.
