In the series of measures announced by the government to assist families affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul, the advance payment of the Bolsa Família program for 97 cities in the State was announced this Saturday. Beneficiaries will receive the funds this Monday (18), regardless of the end of the NIS (Social Identification Number, used to organize payment dates).
The government statement also states that families who receive the benefit through Caixa Tem, in a Digital Social Savings account, will be able to transfer the amounts through the application, without needing to go to a branch.
The intense rains, the result of a cyclone, which caused floods and left damage in 104 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul, caused 48 deaths, according to the Civil Defense bulletin released on Friday, the 15th. In total, 4,904 people were left homeless, of which 1,426 are still in this situation.
