A woman was stabbed to death by her husband and her body was found by her daughter, in Posse, in the northeast of the state. The suspect was arrested in May this year for attempted femicide and rape against the victim, but was released in June.
According to police chief Humberto Soares, responsible for the case, he reported that the suspect already had a history of violence against the victim, which is why he was previously arrested.
According to the Civil Police, the victim’s daughter lived in a house next to where the crime occurred and heard her mother’s screams. When trying to check what was happening, she came across her mother dead inside the house.
The man was arrested red-handed for the crime of feminicide. According to the Civil Police, the suspect’s arrest was converted into preventive custody.
