The Federal Police (PF) agent injured during the execution of an arrest warrant for former federal deputy Roberto Jefferson, last year, filed a lawsuit asking for compensation of R$1 million to the former parliamentarian.

Agent Karina Lino Miranda was grazed in the face, while serving an arrest warrant, at the former deputy’s home, in Levy Gasparian, in Rio de Janeiro. Another shot hit the hip region, but the bullet was cushioned by the police officer’s equipment. Still, she had to undergo surgery, according to the lawyer.

On that date, Jefferson reacted to the arrest and shot at federal police officers, in addition to throwing a grenade at the team. In addition to Karina, federal delegate André Côrtes Villela was also injured.

According to the lawyer, the agent had her image exposed by the former deputy. This would have resulted in physical, aesthetic and psychological injuries to the police officer’s image and honor, which continue to this day.

“She had loss of sensation in both the hip and face areas. She was left with scars and had her image exposed directly by him, when he recorded and published images of the police on social media, which also caused her to suffer persecution,” Estela told Agência Brasil.

Recently, the court of the 1st Federal Court of Três Rios decided that Jefferson will go to the popular jury for the attempted murder of the two federal police officers.
